Hampshire Children's Fund is delighted to
welcome Jane Reid as new Chair for the Hampshire Children's
Fund Partnership Board.
Jane comes from Hampshire County Council, where she
has worked for more than 20 years in education, raising
standards in daycare and in establishing affordable,
accessible, quality early years services.
Jane lives with her family in Fareham, and is special
advisor to the County Council for the grants processes
which have won Hampshire millions of pounds for improving
children's services.
Her expertise will be invaluable to a fund that is
targeting areas of poverty and social deprivation.
Jane takes over from Debra Gibbs, the County's
Co-ordinator for Hampshire's Children and Families
Forum. She has done a brilliant job leading in the consultation
of local families and children and establishing Cross
County local partnership for the Hampshire Children's
Fund in its first year.
In the first year of the Hampshire Children's
Fund, around 217 children's projects have been
delivered providing better prospects and joined up services
to children aged 0-19 years and their families, who
are suffering from disadvantage.
Dale Tomlinson, Programme Manager for the Hampshire
Children's Fund Partnership said: "We are
delighted to welcome Jane to our Partnership Board and
look forward to working with her to make a real difference
to Hampshire children and their families who might otherwise
miss out on services that most can take for granted."
No need for a quote from SS here I don't think
as the Fund is able to issue the release in its own
right.
